Talya Bilişim’s Product Became a Course at Hacettepe (Dünya Newspaper 21.01.2011)

Medisoft Hospital Management System, one of Talya Bilişim’s two main products with over 20 years of experience in information technology, has started to be taught as a course in the Health Administration Department of Hacettepe University. Talya Bilişim General Coordinator Nilüfer Durukal stated that their company, founded by Turkish engineers, operates with offices in four regions across Turkey and 41 dealers nationwide. She said, “We provide services with different software developed for the health and tourism sectors. Talya Bilişim’s products, Medisoft Hospital Management System and Elektra Hotel Management System, are used by over 2,000 users, including many large facilities and public institutions.”

Durukal noted that Hacettepe University has initiated a Hospital Information Systems Application course in cooperation with the Medisoft Hospital Information Management System so students can apply their theoretical knowledge in a virtual hospital environment. She explained, “Within the program, students directly practice the electronic tracking of medical, financial, and administrative processes in a hospital setting. The program aims to enable students to simulate a real hospital environment and gain a managerial perspective before graduation.”

Durukal added, “Our software has achieved great success in many projects, but having our hospital software taught at a well-established university like Hacettepe, which has proven itself in the health field, gives us a special excitement. Our company’s goal is to contribute to students by enabling them to practically use the knowledge they have learned in theory.”
