Turkey’s first web-based hotel management software storing data in the cloud
Contactless applications were key helpers for facilities applying social distancing best during the pandemic. Elektraweb, developed specifically for the tourism sector by Talya Bilişim, stands out as a pioneering software bringing digital transformation to social distancing through its advanced communication modules. Elektraweb holds the distinction of being Turkey’s first web-based hotel management software with cloud-stored data.
With speed, security, and mobility advantages, Elektraweb is a leader in its field, featuring 23 modules that enable digital management of all hotel departments—from front office to channel management, online hotel reservations to e-invoicing, purchasing to SPA—making it the most comprehensive hotel software in Turkey.
Developed with the latest web technologies, Elektraweb is fast, functional, and user-friendly. It offers a wide product range with different packages and modular structure, providing customizable solutions tailored to the needs of various concepts such as boutique hotels, resorts, glamping sites, and restaurants.
Elektraweb uses annual pricing, so users pay the license fee for the year they use the software. The call support line offers 24/7 assistance.
“Primary advantage is no initial investment cost”
Nilüfer Durukal, Managing Partner of Talya Bilişim, explains that hotel automation systems have become a crucial part of hotel management in tourism facilities, emphasizing the importance of web technologies in digital transformation. She states that Elektraweb and the desktop version Elektra V5 Hotel Management System have a total of 4,500 users. Durukal adds:
“The main advantage of Elektraweb is that there is no initial investment cost. Facilities avoid expenses such as servers, server licenses, antivirus programs, and backups that need to be renewed every few years. To use the application, only an internet connection, a smartphone, tablet, or computer is needed. Its mobile usability especially allows administrative staff to work easily from home, which gained importance during the pandemic. Elektraweb consists of modules that manage all departments and operations of a hotel. Facilities can use modules suited to their needs to manage the entire property with a single integrated program. This results in a fast and efficient management workflow.”
Elektraweb includes powerful applications for contactless guest experiences. Integrated solutions with the hotel management system allow guests to easily access services without contact. Durukal explains:
“With online reservation and online check-in features, guests can complete their ID and signature process online through the program and go directly to their rooms without visiting the reception. They can also make restaurant reservations, order meals from a digital menu, and make payments.”
“Guaranteeing data security for hotels”
Hotels are among the facilities most affected by data breaches in the tourism sector. The vast amount of personal and financial data they hold makes them targets for cyberattacks. Durukal says:
“When you operate web technologies, especially in cloud infrastructure, it provides significant cost savings for the business. More importantly, it keeps your data in a secure environment. Cloud systems are highly protected and keep synchronized copies of data in different locations worldwide, ensuring data security. Moreover, the information processed and stored in Elektraweb is recorded according to the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the European Union Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).”
“More than 100 facilities abroad have switched to Elektraweb today”
Durukal, emphasizing their goal to expand abroad with Elektraweb, Turkey’s pioneering leader in hotel automation, states that they will continue their operations initially through distributors in each country:
“Elecktra is used in nearly 60 hotels in Azerbaijan. We have new distributors in Macedonia and Romania. Over 100 facilities abroad have switched to Elektraweb so far. We aim to grow through a distributor in each country. Our priority targets are the African market and Balkan countries. Of course, we are also interested in the American and European markets, which have the largest hotel pools worldwide.”
10,000 qualified personnel trained annually familiar with Elektraweb
Since 2006, Elektra has been a mandatory course in tourism vocational high schools under the Ministry of National Education. Its web-based version has gained considerable interest and has been incorporated in more than 100 tourism faculties. Thus, about 10,000 qualified personnel familiar with Elektraweb will enter the sector every year.
