Talya Bilişim, which provides technology solutions to hotels through its software support and exports technology to 23 countries, has granted 3 months of free program usage to all its users in the earthquake region.
Talya Bilişim, which develops professional technology solutions for the tourism and healthcare sectors, protects company data even during disaster periods with its web-based solutions. Talya Bilişim Managing Partner Nilüfer Durukal stated that hotels in the region remained protected after the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes: “Since Elektraweb, one of our solutions, is cloud-based and web-based, our hotels did not lose any data during the earthquake. Hotels were able to resume operations as soon as they were available and could receive direct reservations,” she said. Durukal also noted that they provided all their users in the earthquake zone with 3 months of free program usage and 24/7 support.
The company, which exports the software it develops, aims to serve 50 hotels in the United States this year. After achieving 30% growth in foreign currency in 2022, the company targets 40% growth this year. The number of hotels it serves will also increase from 5,000 to 6,500.
Reminding that they entered the U.S. market in September last year as part of their global expansion initiative, Nilüfer Durukal said: “We launched the EASY PMS brand here. We are positioning EASY PMS as a global brand. We have prepared a special growth plan to move forward in the U.S. market in a strong and stable manner. Our goal for 2023 is to reach 50 hotels in the U.S. market,” she said.
Durukal stated that the Elektraweb program, developed by Turkish engineers for the tourism sector, is used in 23 countries including leading tourism countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, and Thailand: “We have reached more than 5,000 hotels using Elektraweb—2,000 on the web and 3,000 on desktop. By the end of 2023, we aim to reach 6,500 hotels,” she said.
Durukal also conveyed that they will further expand their solutions for health tourism this year.

“Artificial intelligence stands out in tourism”
According to Nilüfer Durukal, the keywords in the tourism sector will be personalized guest satisfaction, holiday concepts targeting different age and demographic groups, and experience creation. For this reason, the concept of “data engineering” will gain importance. Because all marketing activities have to be carried out through the digital world.
Stating that digitalization is developing at a dizzying pace globally in the industry, Durukal said: “Web-based technologies are the key actors in this transformation. Travel agencies, due to their position in the market, are much more digital than hotels. Since the majority of hotel sales occur through online sales channels, agencies have been driven into a struggle for survival. Therefore, agencies largely benefit from cloud technology. The concept of artificial intelligence will become much more significant in the tourism and hospitality sector,” she predicted.
