Talya Bilişim accelerates companies' digital transformation efforts from tourism to the health sector. Talya Bilişim Managing Partner Nilüfer Durukal says they will continue to grow with new countries abroad through Elektraweb, which constitutes 80% of their operations. Durukal states, "Today, more than 100 facilities abroad have switched to Elektraweb. We aim to grow through a distributor in each country."Concepts such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, which have entered our lives with technology, are also changing our habits. These applications appear as smart transformations in many sectors such as accommodation and health. The desire of consumers to receive service with minimal contact during the pandemic is also accelerating digitalization in these sectors.Talya Bilişim, which has been developing technological solutions for tourism and health sectors for 28 years, enables operational, financial, and administrative management of facilities to be conducted through a single platform with its pioneering and innovative software. The company, which made 2.5 million Euros in revenue in 2020, is preparing to close this year with 3 million Euros in revenue.We spoke with Talya Bilişim Managing Partner Nilüfer Durukal about the company and their work.What kinds of solutions do you offer for which sectors? We provide ELEKTRAWEB, ELEKTRA Pos Restaurant and Club Automation Systems, KİMLİKOKUR identity and passport reading system, iSAFE Internet Security and Logging System, OPEX Operation Management System for the tourism and accommodation sector; and MEDİSOFT Hospital Information Management System for the health sector. Our goal is for our users to track their financial, operational, and administrative processes electronically in detail without needing any other software.What services do you offer for the tourism sector with Elektraweb? Elektawweb is a web-based hotel automation program that includes an integrated online reservation system and channel management. It frees facilities from expenses like servers, server licenses, antivirus programs, and backups that need renewal every few years. To use the application, all you need is an internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Its mobile usability allowed administrative staff to work easily from home during the pandemic.Elektawweb consists of modules that can manage all departments and operations of a hotel. Facilities can manage front office, restaurant management, accounting, inventory, fixed assets, human resources, CRM, SPA management, hotspot, call center, e-invoice, and other modules through a single integrated program. Thus, they can solve operations they would otherwise run with 15 different companies just by working with us.Because it uses the latest technology, it provides advantages in interaction, accessibility, and integration. The fact that it easily integrates with systems previously used by facilities and does not require special hardware is a significant saving factor. Data is hosted on the world's most secure servers, ensuring high speed and security. Backups are automatic, eliminating data loss due to viruses or power outages. It also contains an effective logging solution against malicious users. Thus, KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) requirements are met. We provide users with 24/7 free online support.What have you been doing during the pandemic? We accelerated our work tailored to the needs of facilities. We produced a solution for the pandemic with Contactless Guest Applications, minimizing contact in accommodation businesses, and opened new revenue streams for hotels. Online check-in, online reservations, keyless door openings, and online purchases within the hotel can all be done through this application. Functions such as fault and issue reporting and survey completion are also offered to guests through this application. Hotels have shown great interest in this application.How many facilities use your Elektraweb solutions? About 4,500 businesses in Turkey and worldwide use all versions of the Elektra Hotel Management Systems. Our software is preferred not only by private facilities but also by public institutions. This year, we added the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) to our users. All Provincial Guesthouses, all Judges’ Guesthouses, many Teachers’ Lodges and Police Lodges, TCMB social facilities, Tüpraş, TEDAŞ, Vakıflar Bank, Ziraat Bank, Türk Telekom, and most hotels affiliated with TMSF can be managed end-to-end digitally with Elektra technology.You also provide services abroad with Elektraweb. What are your goals? Elektawweb is currently active with users and partners in 12 countries on 3 continents and is rapidly progressing toward becoming a global brand. These countries include important tourism destinations such as Spain, the Caribbean, and Ivory Coast. This is very promising for us.Today, over 100 facilities abroad have switched to Elektraweb. We aim to grow through a distributor in each country. We are interested in countries undergoing tourism development such as Africa, Balkan countries, and the Middle East, as well as the American and European markets, which have the largest hotel pools in the world.Can you tell us about your identity and passport reading systems? Kimlikokur is software that can read and recognize all identity cards and passports worldwide using OCR technology, store them as images and text, and transfer them to all programs in the Windows environment. It provides a great solution for the pandemic's contactless needs and significant ease for hotels in complying with KVKK obligations.When a guest holds their ID or passport in front of the reception computer's camera, the system takes a photo of the ID and writes the information directly into the guest card. Thus, all contact is eliminated, and the check-in process is completed with incredible speed and accuracy.At the same time, the processes of securely collecting, storing, and deleting personal data are carried out in compliance with KVKK. After the ID photo and information are transferred to the front desk program, they are encrypted, allowing only authorized personnel with a password to access the IDs. It is also possible to delete the data immediately or after a certain period or to keep it encrypted with a note stating "This is a copy, and guest permission has been obtained."You also have restaurant and health solutions, right? Yes. Our brand Medisoft for the health sector is a hospital information management system used by over 200 health institutions in Turkey and worldwide. Its most important advantage over other sector information systems is its integrated structure. That is, information from medical departments is simultaneously reflected in all other administrative modules, preventing data and time loss.Medisoft Hospital Software is not only suitable for comprehensive hospitals but also has a very appropriate infrastructure for outpatient clinics, laboratories, and private practices. This year, we believe we will reach a much larger audience with our Mediclinic sub-product developed specifically for small outpatient clinics and private practices.Mediclinic, which is completely web-based and cloud-structured, allows patient registration, appointment management, prescription, report writing, online payment, and invoicing processes to be done through a single program. Mediclinic also provides video examination capabilities and is compatible with e-nabız (electronic health record), e-invoice, and e-prescription systems.
